Are there helpful hints for parents and teens dealing with time management at Time Tackler?
Absolutely, our goal is to help you and your family better use your time! If we can teach you how to manage time, and you can get your teens (and all children) to see the benefit of properly using the time that they have been given; then we have done our job, and everyone wins. The hard part is, as you know- getting children, especially teens to get on your team when it comes to time management. Sure, you can see the benefit to all if everyone pitches in; but can you express this to your children? First off, Remember what Dr. Phil says, "Don't get frustrated." when dealing with your teens. Easier said than done, right? You're correct; but it does work. Sit the children down, calmly discuss the reasons why your are asking for the changes, expect their disapproval, critisms, maybe even their tantrums. You may not even win them over initially; however, if you are doing it, and they can see how happy it makes you, then eventually they will give into the game plan. Remember, children will always test your resolve on every issue; but if you can see that saving time is so very valuable, then it's worth it to teach them these tips while their young.

Does time management mean I have to have my schedule set in stone?
Good time management leaves plenty of room for flexibility. If you don't leave time for "you" and for fun, then the management of your time is not going to succeed. The Key is to do things that accomplish more of your goals at one time. Being able to multi task towards your goals will bring them closer faster.
How can I manage time, so that I can lose weight and still spend time with my children?
At Time Tackler we suggest that you try doing things that get both you and your child moving. Get away from the television and take a walk together, go to the park and push your child on the swings, the merri-go-round. Doing chores around your house with your child not only gives you and your child exercise; but also gets things done that you (or your child) did not want to do by yourself(s). You will find that these things not only help you stay fit, they will help you be a good parent and your children will love spending the time with you too.
